Two easy paths to transferring
Whether you’re transferring from a community college or four-year institution, our transfer pathways are designed to make the transition as smooth as possible for you. And, regardless of which transfer path you take, you’ll receive a minimum scholarship of $7,000 — guaranteed.
BLOCK TRANSFER
Concordia has block-transfer agreements with several colleges throughout Oregon, Washington, and California. If you’ve completed a transferable associate degree, you will have met all of our General Education Requirements with the exception of Religion 401 (REL401). Learn more.
COURSE-BY-COURSE EVALUATION
We welcome transfer students from all institutions of higher education. If you’ve earned some college credits but are not on the block-transfer path, we will evaluate your transcripts on a course-by-course basis. You are now able to transfer up to 94 qualified credits making it easier than ever to earn your degree from Concordia.

Five Steps to Transfer Admission
Ready to apply? Here are five easy steps to transfer to Concordia. If you have above a 2.5 GPA, we may be able to waive your letters of recommendation and essay — check in with your transfer coordinator to find out.
- Apply online for free or use the Common Application.
- Return your completed transcript release form to us.
- Submit two letters of recommendation. Download a form (pdf) or mail a personal letter.
- Submit your essay.

NURSING TRANSFER PROCESS

How many credits do I need to transfer into Concordia?
Concordia University defines a transfer student as a student who has attended a regionally accredited college or university and earned a minimum of 12 semester (18 quarter) credits in coursework approved by the university Registrar.
How many credits can I transfer into Concordia?
You will be able to transfer up to 94 qualified credits to fulfill your program requirements. All of your prior college course work is included in the cumulative Concordia University GPA.
How many credits do I need to take at Concordia to earn a degree?
You will need to complete a total of 30 Concordia-specific credits for degree conferral eligibility.
